The armadillo is the official state small mammal of Texas. This is raw edged fused collage applique and is machine quilted. The original pattern was designed by Barbara J. Jones and called Armando. It had the armadillo on a road and lollipop trees. I put him in a desert with cactus. I raided my wife's fabric stash to create this piece. It is longarm quilted by my wife, LaDonyce Hamilton.
