The Grandmother/Granddaughter duo quilters used treasured scraps of fabric they recovered after the elder's home was lost in a fire and other pieces they found from various thrift stores they visited during their weekend shopping trips together. Piecing was done by Leslie & Gertrude together to make into Dresden Plates. Grandmother finalized and added special touches as she completed the quilting to give to Leslie as her wedding gift.
