Dorothy Rother and Marian Dierschke selected and cut out the pieces. Dorothy pieced and then hand quilted the quilt.
Dorothy and her late husband Daniel have 7 children and 24 grandchild. She makes a quilt for each grandchild when they get married. This quilt was made for Denton Leopold and his bride Mallory Jessop. Both attended Texas A&M University in College Station. that is what inspired Dorothy’s color selection.
Her grandchildren truly treasure the beautiful gift she makes.
