A batik jelly roll that had a lot of purples in it was used. She used a purple batik for the set-in triangles and a fun purple polka dot on the back. I learned how to sew the strips together using the chain piecing method, so it went faster. It was a little hard to sew the triangle on to make it into a rectangle. She had to rip out a few times and resew to get everything straight. She gave the quilt to her granny for Christmas.
