Fire Fighter T-Shirt Quilt

Fire Fighter T-Shirt Quilt, Machine Quilting
Fire Fighter T-Shirt Quilt Blue Ribbon - Adult
My Uncle is a retired Fire Fighter and Volunteer Fire Fighter from Houston and Bellville. When he asked me to make him a quilt, I couldn't say no. I used his t-shirts that he wore and or collected over his time in service. I used a generic fire fighter background cotton quilt fabric for the sashing and borders. I used a grunge type black backing and tied it together with a larger fire print for the binding. I embroidered his name, station numbers with dates along the borders.

Quiltmaker(s) and Credit
I, myself, Kathy Yeager designed the layout of the top, machine pieced it and free motioned quilted it on my longarm machine. I have to give credit to Norma Stark with Norma's Quilt Studio for teaching me how to make a t-shirt quilt. I took a two day class with her where she taught the basics of how to get started and assisted me with figuring out the measurements to ensure everything was even throughout.
