I entered this patriotic quilt in the Creative Memories Quilt Guild show (held in conjunction with the Kolache Festival) and the Burleson County Fair, winning ribbons. I presented this quilt to my friend, Clyde Mahavier, in recognition of his service to our country.

I pieced this twin-sized quilt from the pattern, "Our Flag Stands for Freedom," designed by Lisa Bongean for Primitive Gatherings. I added a border and two more rows to enlarge the pattern. It was quilted by my friend, Peachie Burlin.
